What's the deal with this website? Well... I wanted to fill in some gaps in my cloud knowledge with something practical. I came across the Cloud Resumé Challenge. I decided to adapt it into my own website. What's Jarlhammer? It's a beer I made and a game handle I use. The beer was the first I ever brewed and it was pretty decent.

My Job
I am a Solutions Architect at Spot.io. We provide Continuous Optimization to help control costs in complex cloud environments. It's cool technology.
My Life
I'm a father of two smart, chaotic and fun boys, and a husband to a moderately patient wife.
My Hobbies
I game a few nights a week, PS5 or PC. I also take photographs of anything and everything, using either a Fuji X-T3 or an X-Pro2. You can see some of my efforts at Murderchaque.

On-Premises
I have 16 years of experience with on-premises IT, covering storage and hyperconverged infrastructure. My employers include the corporations NetApp and EMC, and the startups SolidFire and Spot.io
The Cloud
I've been working with cloud technology for 2 years in AWS, Azure and GCP, with certifications in Azure and GCP.
Pre-Sales
I have worked as the technical half of succesful sales teams since 2005, and my customers have ranged from small enterprises to global major accounts.
Education
In 2003 I graduated from Portsmouth University with a first class degree in Civil Engineering. I also have A-Levels in Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Politics.
